10 Accidentally Vegan Snacks

When reading ingredients on products, its always exciting to see that something is vegan. Some products you may not even think to check because they don’t seem like they would be safe. However, you’d be surprised by how many things are accidentally vegan.

    1. Spicy Sweet Chili Doritos and Blaze Doritos

Vegan Doritos?! You wouldn’t expect it since many of their chips are cheesy or contain dairy, but both of these kinds are actually completely vegan. They go great in taco salad, or just eating them straight out of the bag. No ones judging.

2. Fuego Takis

Fuego takis are essentially vegan hot Cheetos. They are so good you can even crush them up and throw them in mac n’ cheez.

3. Hershey Syrups

Chocolate and strawberry Hershey syrups are both vegan. You can put them on ice cream or stir it in plant-based milk. I’ve been going through cartons upon cartons of soy milk to fulfill my dire need for strawberry milk.

4. Pillsbury Crescent Rolls

These can be used to make cinnamon rolls, vegan pigs in a blanket, or just prepared and eaten as normal.

5. Unfrosted Strawberry Pop-Tarts

While many Pop-Tarts contain dairy or gelatin, the unfrosted ones are free of animal products.

6. Krispy Kreme Fruit Pies

A few flavors of Krispy Kreme Fruit Pies are safe for vegans to eat, including peach, apple, and cherry.

7. Dairy Queen’s Star Kiss Bar

The star kiss bar is a star shaped popsicle that is red, white, and blue. This is one of the very few vegan things you will find at Dairy Queen.

8. Fun Sized Laffy Taffy

This candy is amazing and doesn’t contain any gelatin, eggs, or dairy.

9. Oriental Ramen Noodles

While you can buy any packet of ramen and make it vegan by using your own seasonings, the Oriental Ramen Noodles seasoning pack is vegan-friendly.

10. Great Value Fudge Mint and Fudge Covered Peanut Butter Filled Cookies

Both of these kinds of cookies are vegan and only 94 cents a package at Walmart. They taste just like girl scout cookies. The fudge mint is extremely similar to thin mints, and the fudge covered peanut butter cookies taste like peanut butter patties.

Next time you go to the store and you pass by something without checking the ingredients because you assume it isn’t vegan, take a second to look. You might just be surprised.
